What is AI and Generative AI as a career track?

AI and Generative AI is a mentor-led career track. Its focus: Build applications on top of AI tools and language models, and test what they produce. First roles to search for include AI Tools Associate, GenAI Trainee, Prompt Engineer Trainee. Level 1 takes 3 months at ₹30,000 including GST, with no prerequisite. Coding: Start with tool-based exercises; integrations need programming.

What tools do you need for AI and Generative AI?

A modern browser and a free account on at least one AI assistant; a spreadsheet for evaluation sheets. Programming is introduced only for integrations. Any paid tool access is confirmed with you before you enrol.

LEVELS IN THIS TRACK

How long does AI and Generative AI take, and what does each level add?

Level 1 (3 months): small assignments and your first AI and Generative AI project, reviewed until it holds up. Level 2 (6 months): one larger project with revisions; resume review and mock interviews begin. Level 3 (6 months): a bigger project, portfolio guidance and application guidance for the roles you choose. Level 4 (6 months): a multi-part project with 1-on-1 reviews and system design and architecture review; aimed at working professionals switching direction. Every level is ₹30,000 including GST, bought one at a time.

Every factual answer should be traceable to the handbook; test missing, conflicting and misleading questions.

Explain how you distinguished a fluent answer from a supported answer, and why you limited scope.

Turn a consistent product specification into useful draft copy.

Ten synthetic product records with materials, dimensions and care instructions.
Your tasks
Build a reusable prompt, set prohibited claims, generate drafts and compare two prompt versions.

What jobs can AI and Generative AI lead to?

AI and machine-learning postings are the fastest-growing category in India's white-collar hiring reports, but the senior titles (ML Engineer, AI Engineer) expect experience. The realistic first roles are analyst, associate and support roles that use AI tools, where a tested project and clear writing stand out.

Researching use cases, preparing evaluation examples, documenting prompts and supporting AI-assisted operations. Search for AI tools associate, GenAI trainee or AI project assistant; engineering roles typically require more programming and deployment experience.

Does AI include Generative AI?

Yes. Generative AI is covered within the existing AI track; it is not a separate programme track.

Do I need to build a model from scratch?

The track focuses on practical tools and applications. Model training and statistical evaluation are the focus of Machine Learning.

Can a non-CS student explore this field?

Yes. Start with clear task definition and output evaluation, then assess the technical preparation needed for your chosen project.

Is prompt writing enough for an AI career?

It is one skill. Domain understanding, evaluation, documentation and often programming matter too.

Can I upload personal student records into an AI tool?

Use synthetic examples or approved, appropriately handled data. Do not upload personal or confidential records without permission and suitable safeguards.

Will the assistant always be correct?

No. Test factual support and include a clear fallback when evidence is missing.

Are paid AI subscriptions included?

No. The practice projects use free accounts on AI assistants. If a project would need a paid tool, the team says so before you enrol; the mentorship fee covers mentoring and reviews, not subscriptions.

What should my demonstration show?

Show the task, inputs, an improvement you made after testing and a failure you still handle through human review.
